Amplifying your voice at the Texas Capitol

The Travis GOP has been active at the Texas Capitol this session. From fighting for election transparency to parental rights and education freedom to holding our District Attorney accountable for ignoring laws, we take advantage of our unique position as the Republican Party of the capital city of Texas.

At the time of writing, we have testified on dozens of bills Things change quickly under the Texas Capitol dome, so we won't date this blog post by listing which bills we're tracking. Rather, we urge each of you reading this to contact our committees to get the latest on what opportunities there are to provide written or oral testimony at the capitol or to visit legislative offices.

  • ELECTIONS -- Starting off, we have not one but TWO county party committees dedicated to improving our elections and making sure every legal vote is accurately counted. If you would like to get involved with fighting for election integrity at the Capitol, please email Election Integrity Committee chairman Bob Green (beegees414@yahoo.com). Will Lutz chairs our Election Operations Committee which focuses more on the nuts and bolts of our elections process, and may also be reached (wlutz@sbcglobal.net).

  • EDUCATION -- Public education is a big fight this year. If you would like to serve with our Public Education Accountability Committee, which focuses on school boards and wider K-12 issues both locally and legislatively, please contact our committee chairman Brian Talley (btalley@regentpg.com).

  • EVERYTHING ELSE -- For other issues that support the Texas GOP Platform or our conservative principles, please contact Legislative Committee Chairman Jan Duncan (janduncan78@gmail.com) to see what needs to be done!

Stay tuned to our email list (sign up at TinyURL.com/TCRPsignup) for more opportunities as well as our Events calendar.
