DISTRICT 1 AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL MEMBER Natasha harper-madison VOTED to increase her own salary by 40% this year

October 17, 2022

The average District 1 homeowner’s property taxes have increased 54% from 2015 under natasha harper-madison, but she voted this year to give herself a 40% pay raise

Natasha Harper-Madison has not only done nothing to stop this unaffordable and cruel increase in property taxes on District 1 residents and this year, she even voted to increase her own salary 40%, a move that experts say will “cost taxpayers over $350,000 per year”.

Here’s what people are writing about Natasha Harper-Madison’s SELFISH PAY RAISE:

The Austin City Council officially adopted its $5 billion 2022-2023 budget on Thursday alongside a 40 percent pay raise for themselves and the ordering of a multi-hundred million dollar housing bond election.

For next fiscal year, the budget…lays out a 3.5 percent property tax increase.

The council pay raise increases the mayor’s salary to $134,191 and the council members’ to $116,688. They also approved the elected officials’ use of a $900.12 annual cell phone and a $5,400.20 annual vehicle allowance…

In November, Natasha Harper-Madison will face the voters of District 1. We must vote her out.
