Our best chance to take down ‘Comrade Casar’ is finally here

The Travis County Republican Party is excited to have a GOP nominee in Congressional District 37!

If this U.S. House district number doesn’t immediately ring a bell, it’s because this district was carved out of Congressman Lloyd Doggett’s old turf in order to create a special, gerrymandered seat for former Austin City Council member Gregorio Casar, Democrat-Socialist Congressman hoping to hold on to power with a more Austin-centered district.

Well “Comrade Casar” is in for a rude awakening. Fortunately, we now have a tireless, passionate challenger for the newly drawn seat. Her name is Lauren Peña: a political outsider with the fresh energy to bring the fight to Casar and the far Left, and bring in new constituencies to liberate Austin from its one-party monopoly.
