Your taxes may go up $1,200 (How to fight it!)

If you live in Austin AND Travis County, it’s very possible your taxes may go up $1,200 (or more) next year thanks to the far-Left monopoly in local government wanting to use YOUR tax dollars to play politics with the Trump Administration.

Aren’t we already taxed enough? Now is not the time for political games, as hard-working Travis County residents are saddled with rising living costs, a tight job market, and high home prices. Evictions are on the rise, families are hurting, and we’re still licking our wounds from the July Fourth floods.

That’s why we’re sounding the alarm on Austin Proposition Q, Travis County’s “emergency” tax increase, and Central Health’s tax hike. See the resources below and our Events calendar for other opportunities.

A Greater Republic, a non-partisan local PAC, is hosting a fund-raising event for Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., featuring former Travis County Judge Bill Aleshire, former Travis County Commissioner Gerald Daugherty, and economist Bill Peacock, plus many other special guests.
