Your taxes may go up $1,200 (Vote NO on Prop. Q!)
UPDATE (9/16/25): Travis GOP officially recommends voting AGAINST Proposition Q in Austin
If you live in Austin AND Travis County, it’s very possible your taxes may go up $1,200 (or more) next year thanks to the far-Left monopoly in local government wanting to use YOUR tax dollars to play politics with the Trump Administration.
W'e’re already taxed enough. Now is not the time for political games, as hard-working Travis County residents are saddled with rising living costs, a tight job market, and high home prices. Evictions are on the rise, families are hurting, and we’re still licking our wounds from the July Fourth floods.
That’s why we’re sounding the alarm on Austin Proposition Q, which is on Austin city ballots starting Oct. 20, 2025. This tax hike is in addition to the already-approved Travis County “emergency” tax increase, Central Health’s tax hike, and Austin Community College District’s increase. Several lawsuits concerning the legality of these proposed increases are pending. See the resources below and our Events calendar for other opportunities to stand up against Prop. Q and other tax hikes.
