400+ attend 'Battle to Retake the White House' Watch Party
UPDATE: We had over 400 attendees show up for the Debate Watch Party — one of our most-attended events in recent history. Thank you to all our guests, sponsors, and co-hosts!
AUSTIN — The debate of the decade is set for Thursday night, as Republicans cheer on former President Donald Trump and jeer President Joe Biden as they head-to-head in the first (and possibly only) debate of the 2024 general election.
An Austin-area watch party, billed locally boxing match-style as "The Battle to Retake the White House," is set for this Thursday, June 27, from 7 to 10 p.m., in Northwest Austin. Members of the media are encouraged to attend this event for interviews with highly motivated Republican candidates, passionate party officials, and the hundreds of energetic grassroots volunteers expected to attend. The venue will provide plenty of opportunities for B-roll headed into November election coverage.
In addition to the debate being shown on large screens, 2024 candidates will introduce themselves to guests present, and TCRP officials will announce opportunities to get involved in November election campaigns locally and even nationally. Politically themed games and prizes are also in the works.
Sponsors include: Grammer Land & Exploration Corp., Ruddy's Roofing, Susan Haynes, William Armbruster, RegEd, and Texas Values Action, plus more as confirmed.
Co-hosts include: Williamson County Republican Party, Austin Young Republicans, Williamson County Young Republicans, Pflugerville Republican Club, We the People Lake Travis, South Austin Republican Club, Northwest Austin Republican Women, North Austin Republicans, True Texas Project - Hill Country and Williamson County, Austin Republican Women, Mighty American Strike Force, Speaking of Liberty, Leander Area Republican Women, and other conservative and Republican local organizations as announced.
