Kicking off Campaign ’24

The Travis GOP kicked off the 2024 campaign cycle with a presidential debate watch party. And you could feel the energy in the room!
Although former President and candidate for re-election Donald Trump sat this one out, we packed the room with 200+ local patriots on Aug. 23, 2023, looking to learn more about the eight candidates who qualified for and attended the debate. Guests were able to meet with local officials, future local candidates, and fellow grassroots activists looking to make an impact in the Austin area in 2024 and elect more Republicans from the courthouse to the White House.
The Republican candidates who participated in the debate, held in Milwuakee, were: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former Vice President Mike Pence, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina.
