The Reagan Gala returns
Our Travis County Republican Party Ronald Reagan Gala returned on Friday, July 16, 2023, with more than 250 supporters at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum! See message from Travis County GOP Chairman Matt Mackowiak below.
The headline speaker for this year's event was U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, a previous recipient of the Reagan Courage Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award went to former Texas Governor and U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry. The Rising Star Award was presented to Texas Senator Donna Campbell. Officials in attendance were:

On Friday night we held our TCRP Reagan Gala, our largest annual fundraiser at the beautiful Bullock Museum downtown.
We had more than 250 guests in attendance and netted over $55,000 to benefit the county party.
To everyone who attended, sponsored, spoke, donated an auction item or volunteered, THANK YOU!
These events are only successful due to the devotion, good cheer and relentlessness of TCRP Deputy Executive Director Lauren Day. Thank you from the bottom of our heart!
At the Reagan Gala, we received a local issues update from Council Member Mackenzie Kelly. We heard a rousing keynote speech from U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz. We presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to former Gov. Rick Perry (including a retrospective tribute video beautifully produced by David Weeks and Rob Johnson). We presented the Rising Star award to State Sen. Donna Campbell, a champion of the grassroots. And we rightly recognized Will Lutz and Bob Green as our Volunteers of the Year.
We deeply appreciate the service of so many people who helped us, including TCRP executive director Joseph Walter, TCRP communications director Andy Hogue and all of our volunteers, including Suzanne Steadman, Leland Freeman, Glen and Julie Hertenberger, and so many more. Thank you!!!
Sterling Events did an excellent job with the catering and the venue was wonderful.
