Resolution to Halt the Issuance of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) in the State of Texas

Whereas, the issuance of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) raises significant concerns about potential impacts on financial privacy, security, and the traditional banking system; and

Whereas, the Travis County Republican Party values the stability and integrity of the Texas financial system and recognizes the need for a careful and thorough evaluation of the risks and benefits associated with CBDCs;

Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED: the Travis County Republican Party opposes the issuance of CBDCs.
